Inspiration

I truly do believe that people come in and out of our lives when they are meant to. I've had the fortune of meeting a wide variety of people to add color to the tapestry of my life. One person in particular has really touched my life in the past six months. (We met in SL)

He has given me company during my long days and filled my time with hours of conversation. Good thing I can multitask or he would have been such a bad influence. He stimulates my senses and inspires my writing.

We can discuss literature or Happy Gilmore. We can storm the castle or go to a concert. We can chat about ancient architecture or moonlit nights. He can make me laugh or he can seduce me. We can do all these things and so much more.

After six months and hours upon hours of conversation, he is still the one I look for when there is something on my mind. No need to name you because you know who you are and how much I love you.

So, as I ramble on and try to find a picture to go with this post, I just want to thank you Pookie for walking into my life and staying there. Checks the glue...yep...not going anywhere ;)

Here is one of the poems he helped to inspire:

Technicolor

by Brandy Maltas

My days were gray
Over cast skies
The same old grind
Moving through the motions
Just doing what was needed

I needed to smell the roses
Find some joy in my life
Then you walked in
Adding color and joy
You made my world Technicolor

The roses became bright
Sunshine in my day
Rainbow candy falling
It was in your eyes
I found myself reflecting

Looking forward
To nights in your arms
Random chats
Pictures of kitty cats
I think I found my silly

No longer a marionette
Through the day
A master pulling the strings
Leading me away
You cut me free

I never noticed just how
Blue the atmosphere is
Or how much I cared
That the clouds
Looked like marshmallows

You colored my days
Illuminated my nights
Opening my mind
To all the possibilities
Please stay for a long time
